Meet Josh
Josh has Cerebral Palsy and was the recipient of a grant from In My Running Shoes to help purchase a FES device to assist him with walking and daily life activities.
“I am able to walk longer distances without pain. I don't
have to stop as often. You have impacted me for the better, my selfesteem is higher and, even better, I can walk more normally. Thank you
from the bottom of my heart.”

Meet Debbie
Debbie has Multiple Sclerosis and was the recipient of a grant from In My Running Shoes to help purchase a FES device to help her walk better and safer with more endurance and better balance. Her goals were to increase her independence and continue to exercise to become stronger and more confident in her daily routine.
“I have had multiple sclerosis for many years and one of my favorite exercises was walking with my family members. Recently, my walking has deteriorated to the point where I can only walk short distances with a cane. With my FES device that In My Running Shoes helped me fund, I have experienced increased energy levels, a more positive mental outlook, more confidence when walking, less fear of falling, increased walking speed, and a longer stride. This is just the beginning of my walking journey. Hopefully, it might end with me to be able to walk with my family again.”
